Toby is a second-year music student at Hertford College, focusing primarily on composition and musicology. Before university, he studied classical piano and composition at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music, giving various recitals and achieving DipABRSM in the summer of 2018. His compositions have been performed by a variety of ensembles, including the London-based CHROMA ensemble, and he recently wrote the incidental music for a reworking of Ford and Dekker’s ‘The Witch of Edmonton’ as well as continuing to write for jazz trio. He currently studies composition with Luke Lewis, and jazz piano with Martin Pickett.
